If you’re not sure how long you will need them, choose our cone hire option – and once you’ve had them for ten days, you own them. If you send them back before then, we refund you the difference.

Alongside our more recent work, supplying high quality road cones, we’ve been delivering quality building supplies nationwide to the construction industry since we established our company in 1966. We currently specialise in clear roofing and shade materials as well as Marley spouting products. Our stores in Auckland and Christchurch deliver nationwide to all cities including Wellington and Dunedin.

Being a family owned and operated business is very important to all of us involved in the day-to-day operations across all our services.

With three generations playing a part since we started out over six decades ago, even our youngest relatives are now getting involved. We’re excited to see what the future holds for our fourth generation as we continue to strive for quality and fabulous products and service for our customers – many who have used us for many years too.

Our story

Our first generation, Bram Breetvelt, came to New Zealand from Holland in the 1950s. In 1966, he established the Sunnyside business, upcycling car cases into simple, yet practical, wooden sheds. Sunnyside then moved into the timber business and the second generation, Eric Breetvelt, took over the operation.

Eventually the rise of big box stores made the timber business unsustainable, so Kurt and his Dad started importing polycarbonate roofing, establishing Sunnyside Limited.

Today, Kurt runs the operation under the watchful eye of his son, Devon and with the occasional hand from his Dad.
